Dr. Midla, an Indiana native from South Bend, obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree from Indiana University in Bloomington. He then earned his medical degree from The Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine, and performed his orthopedic residency at the Dallas/Ft. Worth Medical Center. He became a Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon in 1995 and recertified in 2004.
Dr. Midla specializes in fracture care, sports injuries, hand surgery, knee and shoulder arthroscopies, total knee and hip replacements, and other musculoskeletal disorders.
Dr. Midla is a staff surgeon at Clarian West Hospital in Avon and Westview Hospital in Indianapolis. He also has privileges at Eagle Highland Surgery Center.
He is very active in Indianapolis area youth sports programs and is a strong advocate of health and fitness for all ages.
Dr. Midla enjoys spending time with his wife, Mary, his sons, Pat and Joseph, and his daughter, Elizabeth. He also enjoys participating in golf, softball, swimming, fishing, and coaching.
